Where does the money go?
100% of your fundraised donations will go directly towards cancer research to help kids battling brain cancer. All of our grants fund specific research while making our researchers accountable to results and innovation. To learn more about our financials, click here.
The Cure Starts Now has funded $23,608,247 in pediatric brain cancer research in partnership with the DIPG / DMG Collaborative. This includes 150 grants at over 100 hospitals in 17 countries.
Meet Addison, our superhero and warrior!
Addison was a spunky and sweet ray of sunshine. She loved to sing, dance, play Minecraft and Roblox, have quality family time, ride on her golf cart, play with her American Girls dolls and hang out with her older sister.
In March 2019, at the age of 6, Addison was diagnosed with DIPG, an aggressive and inoperable form of brain cancer which at the present time has no cure. What started as a sudden inward eye and a few slight headaches turned into her and her families worst nightmare. Addison was given 9-18 months to live, but instead battled DIPG valiantly for 53 months. In addition to 52 sessions of radiation, Addison participated in two clinical trials that were funded directly by The Cure Starts Now.
